Mombetsu is a city fisheries, agriculture and mining with a population of 25,000.

it is located more or less in the center of the Okhotsk coastal area, and is committed to the development of drift ice tourism by leveraging its unique characteristic of being Japan’s only coastal area.

We are

Hi, I am in charge of foreign languages at Shiomi

Elementary School in Monbetsu City.

I heard that the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan

has decreased significantly due to the Corona disaster.

Monbetsu City has many attractions such as scallops, crabs

and other marine products, drift ice and objects made of

crab claws.

Therefore, we created a mini-poster to show the attractions of Monbetsu City. We hope that this initiative will help convey the charm of Monbetsu City not only to Japan but also to the world.

紋別市は、人口約2万5千人の漁業・農業・鉱業の都市です。

オホーツク沿岸地域のほぼ中央に位置しており、日本で唯一の沿岸地域という特性を活かした流氷観光の発展に力を入れています。

こんにちは、私は紋別市の潮見小学校で外国語を担当しています。

コロナの震災の影響で、日本を訪れる外国人観光客が大幅に減っていると聞きました。紋別市には、ホタテやカニなどの海産物や流氷、カニの爪を使ったオブジェなど、たくさんの魅力があります。

そこで、私たちは紋別市の魅力を伝えるミニポスターを作成しました。この取り組みが、日本だけでなく世界に向けて紋別市の魅力を発信する一助となれば幸いです。
